Towards High-Efficiency Greenhouse Design: Impacts of Argon-Filled Double Glazing on Climate Uniformity and Energy Consumption
Greenhouse modernization requires innovative solutions capable of balancing productivity and environmental sustainability. This study assesses the performance of Argon Double Glazing (ADG) as a covering material in greenhouse systems. Numerical simulations conducted with TRNSYS 18, supported by experimental observations, show that ADG improves the stability and homogeneity of key climatic variables while substantially reducing energy expenditure. Compared with traditional covers, ADG delivers superior thermal performance and contributes to cost-effective climate control strategies. The results support the integration of ADG in future sustainable greenhouse designs.
